BlankOut addresses a privacy gap most people overlook: when you upload a photo of a bill, bank statement, or medical report to ask an AI assistant a question, your name, account numbers, address, and other identifiers get sent to a cloud server along with it. BlankOut stops that from happening. The Android app runs detection and redaction entirely on-device — no data is transmitted to external servers. It automatically identifies sensitive fields in the document, blacks them out, and strips GPS and EXIF metadata from the image file before you share anything. The output is a clean, redacted version of your document ready to hand to any AI tool. Works across common document types including medical reports, financial statements, and utility bills.
